Prof. Dr. Klaus-G. Meng (Chairman)
Klaus-G. Meng, born in 1959, is Chairman of the Management Board of SCISYS Deutschland GmbH in Bochum. He studied electrical engineering at University of Bochum and graduated as PhD in the field of the optic communication engineering in 1987. As student he began to market his ideas in the field of meteorological satellite remote sensing. This led to the creation of VCS. Since 1993 Klaus-G. Meng has been lecturing on satellite communication at the University of Dortmund. In 2003 he received an honorary professorship. As of 2009 Klaus-G. Meng joined the board of the parent company SciSys plc. Since July 2012 he manages the M&A-activities of the SCISYS Group as Executive Director. By the end of 2011 the VCS AG was converted into the SCISYS Deutschland GmbH. Klaus-G. Meng has been appointed Chairman of the Management Board of SCISYS Deutschland GmbH.
Klaus M. Heidrich
Klaus M. Heidrich, born in 1960, is member of the Management Board of SCISYS Deutschland GmbH, and Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer of SCISYS PLC. Klaus studied electrical engineering with a focus on communications engineering at the University of Dortmund and gained a master’s degree in electronics engineering. In 1989 he joined VCS AG (now SCISYS Deutschland GmbH) as a sales engineer.
From 1992 he was responsible for marketing and sales of VCS and developed VCS media activities until he briefly left VCS, returning a year later taking responsibility for strategic business development within corporate management. From 2005 to 2011 he was a Director of the Media & Broadcast division. On 1 January 2012 he became an Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer of SCISYS PLC and from 1 January 2014 became CEO. As of beginning 2019 Klaus was also appointed member of the Management Board of SCISYS Deutschland GmbH.
Sandra Krewerth, née Roth, is member of the Management Board of SCISYS Deutschland GmbH. She was born in Austria in 1968 and lives in Germany since 1973. After the “Abitur” she decided to study economics with main focus on cost accounting and foreign trade at Fachhochschule Bochum. After obtaining the final degree Graduate in Business in summer 1991 she started working for the newly founded company certoplast Vorwerk & Sohn GmbH, a supplier for the automotive industry based in Wuppertal. She implemented financial and cost accounting and since 1992 headed the finance and accounting department.
After obtaining the additional qualification Certified Management Accountant in 1998 she changed to VCS Nachrichtentechnik GmbH in Bochum, initially working as accountant and payroll manager. In 1999 she assumed the position head of business administration. Since 2007 she is proxy of VCS Aktiengesellschaft (legal successor of VCS Nachrichtentechnik GmbH). At the beginning of April 2014 Sandra Krewerth was appointed member of the Management Board of SCISYS Deutschland GmbH.
Dr. Horst Wulf
Horst Wulf, born in 1958, is member of the Management Board of SCISYS Deutschland GmbH. He studied electrical engineering at the University of Dortmund and obtained his PhD in optical communications engineering in 1990. From 1992, one year after joining VCS, until 1999 he was head of the department for system integration and project execution. Additionally, he managed the VCS unit for information and communication infrastructure. During this time, Horst Wulf significantly formed the technological orientation and competence to solutions at VCS. 1999 he became director of the VCS business unit Space. Since September 2008, Dr Wulf is appointed as Director of Operations, SciSys Space Division. The SciSys Space division comprises the space business activities of SciSys UK Ltd. and of VCS AG. As of 2009 he joined the management board of VCS AG. By the end of 2011 the VCS AG was converted into the SCISYS Deutschland GmbH. Horst Wulf was appointed member of the Management Board of SCISYS Deutschland GmbH. Horst Wulf is member of the BDLI group “Forum Raumfahrt”.
Ulli Leibnitz, born in 1966, is member of the Management Board of SCISYS Deutschland GmbH. He studied aerospace engineering with the focus on drive engineering at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich. His professional career started 1985 with his qualification for the officer career within the German Air Force. After his active service in the army, Ulli Leibnitz led the subsidiary of an international consulting company in Berlin from 1994 to 1995. End of 1995 he pursue his passion for Space and strengthened the sales team in the SPACE division at VCS as Account Manager. With the mission to establish the Space business step-by-step, Ulli Leibnitz took over the sales-related leadership for this business in 1999.
As Deputy Director of the SPACE Division of VCS and as “Director Business Development” since 2009, Ulli Leibnitz influenced essentially the strategic and sales-related alignment of the Space business of the SCISYS Deutschland GmbH at the locations Bochum and Darmstadt. In the position as “Director Space Germany” his area of responsibility has been extended also to the operational business at the location in Bochum since 2012. With the beginning of 2018 Ulli Leibnitz was appointed member of the Management Board of SCISYS Deutschland GmbH. For more than 15 years he actively contributes to national and international industrial-political committees to strengthen space activities in and outside of Germany.
Joachim Dietze, born in 1962, is member of the Management Board of SCISYS Deutschland GmbH. He studied mathematics with a minor in computer science at the Technical University of Clausthal. His professional career began in 1987 directly afterwards in an IT system house in Goslar, where he started as a software developer in the field of process data processing. In the following years, his field of activity expanded to include project management, software development, project management of networks and distribution of standard software.
In 1996 Joachim Dietze looked for a new challenge, changed to VCS (today SCISYS Deutschland GmbH) and started as an IT administrator. Shortly afterwards, Joachim Dietze took over the coordination of the IT team and the Competence Center team - an in-house IT consulting service provider for customer projects. From 1999, Joachim Dietze managed the company's entire technical infrastructure. In 2007, Joachim Dietze was appointed authorized signatory. After the takeover of VCS by the SCISYS Group in 2007, Joachim Dietze focused again on the area of IT infrastructure. In addition to managing the IT team in Germany, he was initially responsible for coordinating the group-wide IT infrastructure and later also for managing the IT team in the UK. At the beginning of 2019, Joachim Dietze was appointed to the Management Board of SCISYS Deutschland GmbH.
