For the last ten years SciSys has been involved in the environmental regulatory domain. We have delivered a range of services including business and technical consultancy, development of solutions from small tactical pieces in desktop software products through to web enabled enterprise wide applications as well as their ongoing support and maintenance. These services have been delivered for a range of customers in the UK and Europe spanning both the Regulators, including Environment Agency (England and Wales) , Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, Rural Payments Agency, Irish Environmental Protection Agency, Planning Inspectorate and the Countryside Council for Wales, and the Regulated such as water and electricity utilities and other private sector organisations.

Examples of our work include:

• Integrated Regulation, an integrated suite of online tools for managing the environmental permitting process in England and Wales across a number of regimes
• A risk based mobile farm inspection tool
• A reporting solution for a major water utility to submit drinking water quality submissions to the Drinking Water Inspectorate
• System Architecture Consultancy to provide an enterprise architecture for an environmental Licensing, Enforcement and Monitoring Application
• A new Geograpical Information System (GIS) based mining information system to integrate and manage the regulatory and non regulatory aspects of the coal mining industry
• A fully managed service offering to undertake the scheme administration for the high profile Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme
