SciSys encourages its staff to take part in sporting and social activities. Where possible these activities are subsidised by the Sports and Social Club. New activities and events are welcomed if there is significant interest.
Sporting Activities
The Sports and Social Club runs several sports groups including football (indoor 5-a-side and outdoor organised matches) and cricket (Twenty20 v local organisations and clubs). There is also the opportunity to join the lunchtime running club and squash club (played at the nearby leisure centres). There is a gym at head office which is available to all SciSys employees and their families.
Social Events
There are also social events organised throughout the year which have included coach trips to London, theatre/concert tickets (Mary Poppins, Mamma Mia, We Will Rock You, Chicago, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), family fun days, spa visits, go karting, boat trips around Bristol docks, paintballing and theme park adventure days. These serve as a great opportunity for employees from the different offices to meet and get to know one another.
