Lynne Loomes

Lynne Loomes joined SciSys in 2001 as a Business Analyst. Lynne has a BSc Hons in Business Information Management Systems and is currently one of a team of business analysts working for the Rural Payments Agency Business Change Programme.

"My career at SciSys has been very varied, and I have worked on projects ranging from defining Permit Administration Systems (PAS) and Ongoing Business Analysis Forums, to producing business analysis guides and business cases.

One of the things I enjoy most about being a business analyst is the variety - no two days are ever the same. I can be working on business processes for the future one day, and find myself troubleshooting implementation issues the next.

I also like the contact with the 'real people' who will use the systems that we build. It's fascinating taking a client''s business requirements, and then translating them into specifications that can be used to build a suitable system.

I have worked extensively with many government agencies, including the Environment Agency and the Rural Payments Agency. In the current project I am involved with, I have a specific responsibility for working with the RPA Inspectorate, Devolved Agencies, the Interfaces team, the Cross Compliance team and the data modelling team. Working with such a wide variety of people, and in a position that gives me the scope to further enhance my skills, is part of what makes my job so enjoyable."
